What was your background before coming to Carbon Credits Consulting?
I moved around a lot as a kid, living for short periods in cities such as NYC and Montreal, which has given me the stimulus to always look for opportunities abroad. For this reason, after completing a bachelor in Economics at Ca Foscari University in Venice, I decided to look for an MSc in a top international Business School and I landed at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) in London, where I obtained an MSc in Entrepreneurship.
What is your role as Sales, Trading & Origination Associate at CCC? What are your main activities?
The sales and Trading part of my role comprises scouting new potential buyers, either company or traders, and keeping relationships with them, informing them about our new projects, new issuances or opportunities.
On the other hand, the origination part of my role includes scouting new project opportunities, running a financial feasibility and, with the aid of the technical team, a technical feasibility. If we manage to find an interesting potential project we bring it up to the Senior Management and prepare the contract.
What is your favorite part of working at CCC?
It is difficult to say as every task has its more interesting and less interesting components, but what I really appreciated from day one was the high level at which Carbon Credits Consulting was operating: we have an international team with everyone holding top tier degrees, curriculums and experiences and bringing their own different and invaluable takes on our tasks.
Too often sustainability is the “little brother” of the company, being relegated to people without the right skills and to very little budget, but in CCC I am proud to be part of a passionate team with the skills and the drive to really leave a mark.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I always loved boxing and I practiced it for many years, but unfortunately after moving to Bologna I had to put this passion on hold and decided to transition to the regular gym which is nonetheless something I am growing more and more passionate about.
I also love driving and taking road trips and day trips with my friends either to the sea or the mountains.
Finally, probably thanks to my upbringing as I come from a creative family, I always loved design and architecture and take every chance I get to visit architectures and exhibitions.
